Background information

Elizabeth KENCH was born in Hook Norton in 1825, daughter of Thomas KENCH, wheelwright and Elizabeth, née PHIPPS.

She married William BURBURY in the parish church in Hook Norton in October 1848, and their first child, Mary Mitchel BURBURY was born there in  1849. They were all in Hook Norton when the 1851 census was done. William was then a millwright and they lived at Southrop, Hook Norton. They moved to Warwickshire and had another 8 children by 1869.
