Background information

She was baptised Lavenea at St James Church in Aston Tirrold on 24 Sept 1826.

Married to David GAMMON in St James Church, Westminster on 25 April 1848. They assumed the name CHAMBERS and he became the innkeeper of The Plough, Long Wittenham.

There is a monumental inscription in village churchyard (St Mary’s): “In Affectionate Remembrance of Lavinia the Beloved Wife of David Chambers Who Died Aug 1st 1895 aged 69 Years.”

She was my great-great-grandmother.
