Mary was my great-great-grandmother. She was the daughter of Esther SHEERS. Esther was from Lower Heyford, born
19 April 1789 of Francis and Hannah SHEERS. Esther married Charles TAYLOR.

Mary TAYLOR was born in Lower Heyford, Oxfordshire on 19 October 1819. Mary married my great-great-grandfather Edward OWEN, who was born 1820 at Swerford. They married at St Nicholas Church, Heythrop on 29 December 1844. They lived at Furze Cottage and 2 Heythrop Cottages, Heythrop.

Edward’s occupation was carter (‘ag lab’)  They had six children:  Susannah, 1846; Charlotte,1848; Thomas, 1851; Rebecca Ann, 1855; Frederick, 1858; and John Owen.
