He lived in Eynsham until the early 1870s, when the family moved to several addresses in the Jericho area of Oxford, but lived mostly at 44 Leckford Road.  He spent the last 15 years or so of his life living at York Road, Aldershot, near his eldest daughter Fanny (married name BRAGG).

Background information

Walter MERRY was the son of Edward MERRY and Fanny SAUNDERS of Barnard Gate and Eynsham.  He and Mary had eleven surviving children.  Walter was a cabinetmaker and worked for George BLAKE in Walton Crescent (later Tyrrell and Taylor).  He was also involved with the Walton Street Wesleyan Chapel.  A few years after Mary died in 1910, he married Lizzie ATTKINS in London.
