Background information
Charlotte MORRIS was born in 1794 and baptised on 27 June at St Peter East, Oxford. She was the daughter of William MORRIS, college servant and his wife Sarah, née SAVAGE.
On 12 January 1826 Charlotte married her first cousin Thomas William MORRIS, a fruiterer and confectioner of Broad Street and High Street, Oxford. He was the son of Thomas MORRIS and his wife Eleanor, née SYRATT. They had four children: Sarah Elinor (b. 1827), Thomas William (b. and bur. 1829), Augustus Frederick (b.1830) and William Syratt (b.1833). All were baptised at St Peter East, Oxford.
Charlotte died after a long illness at Lower Farm, Shabbington, Bucks on 6 March 1847. She was buried in Shabbington churchyard, alongside her parents-in-law Thomas and Eleanor MORRIS, who were also her uncle and aunt.
