Background information
Esther Mary WEBB was the 6th and youngest child of George WEBB and his wife Kezia, née BELCHER of Great Milton, Oxon.
As a single girl, Esther worked as a nurse/companion to Mrs Gale of Church Farm, Holton, Oxon.
On 23 June 1906 at Headington Registry Office Esther married William Thomas MORRIS, son of Augustus MORRIS and his wife Elizabeth, née MESSENGER. Esther and William had three children: Wilfred George (b. 1906 Forest Hill, bp. Holton); Violet Dorothy (b. St John’s Wood, London, bp. Holton); Jack (b. St John’s Wood, London).
In 1907 William and Esther moved to St John’s Wood, London, William having been accepted into the Metropolitan Police Force. They later transferred to Wealdstone Police Station and lived in Stanmore, Middx for the remainder of their lives.
Esther died at 4 Gordon Avenue, Stanmore, Middx in 1961 and was buried at Harrow Weald in that county.
