Background information
Dorothy was the daughter of Alfred George CLINKARD and Annie Herbert (née WALNE), and her sister was Elsie Mary.
The CLINKARD family have lived in and around Garsington, Oxfordshire, since the 1540s. During the First World War they lived at Burwell Farm, Curbridge, Witney, Oxfordshire. The farmhouse is still there but the fields are now a housing estate.
